Ford retooled its plant at Wayne, Michigan to make it more efficient recently. The plant produces the Ford Focus and will be used to build the coming Focus-based C-Max minivan.
FoMoCo put in $550 million in plant upgrades, according to a 2009 report at CNET.com.
The plant can produce multiple vehicles off of the international Ford Focus platform, debuting in America soon. Greenies are excited that the Ford Focus and platform-mates has three electric car variants.
